Similar to others- no " gunk"- the eye muscles will not work, but I pry my eyelid open every morning. Did and stopped when it improved Shortly after : left eyelid will not open when I wake up. Unrelated (?) Symptoms started a few months ago: red eyes that had me go to clinic to make sure it wasn't pink eye. Taking meds for typical blood pressure & cholesterol- nothing unusual or concerning. The feeling of not being alone is awesome. I use a desert spoon that fits my eye-socket and bathe my eye(s), (I found those Optrex eyebaths are a stupid shape anyway). I make my own eye-bath using boiled filtered water mixed with a little Sea Salt.

Plain, filtered water is your best friend! EYE BATH I don't use Optrex, Too expensive and unnecessary.

Stop drinking sugary/carbonated drinks especially in the evening - Only use Stevia to sweeten drinks. Stop drinking - permanently - anything containing APARTAME (as somebody above said). I suggest: stop drinking alcohol ~ 3 hours before you sleep, then drink water or green tea ( which is only slightly diuretic) only. So this is mainly an issue of de-hydration, I believe. After this time I try to re-open my eyes - (usually it works ) My left eye has been re-hydrated from the water I drank and I am able to open it with no problem, I have noticed that this can be exacerbated if you have A/C on - especially the air-vent kind or a ceiling fan running ( I do) which will add to drying out your eye(s).

I take a several gulps of water, lie down, close both eyes and wait about 5 -10 mins. I always take a drink of water to bed with me as I get DRY MOUTH = DEHYDRATION - and this is a SYMPTOM OF MANY MEDICATIONS - (check the list of side effects of whatever you take) This is what I do: I do NOT try to force the eyelid to open. (no gunk/discharge) I have this in my left eye only - it does not happen every night. While the pup may have permanent damage to her eyes (it's too early to tell), Glory's resilience has already inspired all those around her to give her the life she has always deserved. For the eyelid sticking to the eye-ball in the A.M. It was revealed that the pup (who looked happy and healthy on the segment) is currently being cared for in a home environment, but she still has glue all over her body and will continue to lose hair as a result. The shocking story caught the attention of local news affiliate KAKE, who had Glory and a staff member from Beauties & Beasts on their morning show. In addition to raising money for Glory's care, the rescue, along with the Sedgwick County Animal Control, are offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the abuse. The veterinary staff, who cared for Glory for four days, concluded that she was likely suffering for up to 48 hours before she was found.

The Jack Russel/Parsons Terrier mix, who has since been named Glory, had ulcerations on her eyes, a tear in her lip and large brusing to her abdomen when she arrived at the vet, according to the post, but is expected to make a full recovery. A shocking discovery was made in late February in Wichita, Kansas: an 8-month-old puppy was abandoned by the side of the road with her eyes and mouth superglued shut.Īccording to a Facebook post from rescue organization Beauties & Beasts, a Good Samaritan found the puppy in dire condition and immediately brought her to Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita for care.
